POKER STRATEGY
Like all games Poker requires certain strategies. Bad turns come to all of us at one time or another. Winning at poker seems quite a daunting task. It reveals that even though skill is a big part of poker, luck too has no less a role. Just remember skill will always triumph over luck in the long run.

Poker is like our stock market; on certain days it goes up, while on others it goes down. Now and then people get fortunate and pick a great company that does well as scrips rise steadily, likewise poker players that sometimes get lucky when they constantly draw out on the river. It can take many more months to become a constant winner.

We occasionally notice players go on huge runs. Every time they play, they do win, and it seems like it's just because they're immensely lucky. This is not quite the case. These same players, when running cold, will cast away their money faster than wind. On any one day, a fish can get twice lucky and beat even the top poker players. But, over the course of many sessions, the pro will always win.

Good fortune would make even the best players play worse. When a player gets fluky he'll slowly start to loosen up. If you are luckier on the table, take a break and ask yourself if this is the right way to play the game. Luck is not there always, so you need to assess your play and get back to the basics. Skilled play will surely win in the long run.

Normally a sound bankroll helps reduce the influence of luck - or the lack thereof - to a minimum. When you're playing very well, you seem to take more bad beats because the horrible players are drawing out on you a lot. A large bankroll in proportion to your current game, won't trouble you as much.

Do carry as much money as you can for the game you choose to play. This helps us to discount the bad beats we take every day.
